Marina - Your piano teacher
Hi, I’m Marina 😊 I am a professional piano teacher with over 20 years of experience helping children and adults learn piano with confidence, enjoyment, and strong technique. Whether you are a complete beginner, returning to piano, or preparing for ABRSM/Trinity exams, I’ll guide you step by step in a clear and supportive way so you can make real progress and feel good about your playing. I have taught in Cardiff, London, and internationally, both online and in person. My students range from young beginners to adult learners, and I always adapt lessons to suit each individual. Alongside teaching, I am a performer and accompanist, and I bring real musical experience from solo performamces, jazz bands, choirs, international choirs and community music projects into my lessons. My focus is simple: strong technique, musical expression, and helping you feel confident and relaxed at the piano. I am a member of the Musicians Union (MU) and the Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM), and I hold a full DBS check. If you are looking for a supportive professional teacher who will help you make steady progress and enjoy your music, I would love to work with you 🎹 Please get in touch to book your first trial kesson. 😊

Piano concepts taught by Marina
The Student received an introductory piano lesson focusing on identifying notes C, D, and E on the keyboard and their corresponding notation. The Tutor and Student also discussed the basic layout of the piano, the concept of pitch, and the functions of treble and bass clefs. Homework was suggested to practice with beginner piano books, and a lesson plan outlining future learning objectives was shared and discussed with the Student's parent.
