I fell in love with French when I was 11 years old. I studied it every chance I could, including in school from Grades 6 to 12. (I was always one of those weirdos who studied French grammar books as though they were crossword puzzle workbooks.) Then, in my mid-20s, I moved to Quebec, Canada to improve my French via complete immersion. In 1985, an intensive 10-week, six days per week 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. French language course in the “centre-ville” of Montreal flew me from novice to fluent in very short order. One third of my life has been spent working, learning, living and loving in a French-speaking province which made the French language and the French-Canadian culture an undeniable part of who I am today. So the joy and enthusiasm I bring to my French lessons is authentic and hopefully, you will also find them contagious. As a mature French instructor with over 35 years experience, let me transmit my knowledge to you. Whether you are a struggling primary school student or career-minded adult determined go through a newly opened door involving the language of love, I want to help. Groups or one-on-one, gorgeous grammar or “la chanson française”, not to mention French cuisine, we will grow together in fondness and skill for this romantic and noble tongue.
