Your english tutor - Tanya
As a native English speaking Canadian with an in-born fascination for language, words and all that they can convey, I am delighted to work with students of diverse ages and needs. When a girl in elementary school, I thrived on reading, comprehension, spelling and composition and often ranked among the top of the class. High school introduced an opinionated me to Shakespeare, literature, poetry, creative writing and essays, which only served to increase my romance with words. Then, in my early adult life I accepted the additional challenges of writing human interest stories and concert reviews for newspapers as well as songwriting. After thirty years of teaching English, I possess a storehouse of experience to offer to students (native or non-native speakers, traditionally or home schooled, with learning disabilities, neurodivergence or speech delay) seeking guidance in pronunciation/diction/phonetics, composition, comprehension, just learning to read, career-oriented vocabulary, spelling, creative writing, public speaking, exam prep and more. When it comes to English, I am always up for a new challenge. Each student is unique and so is my personalized approach. The enthusiasm is contagious. Would you like to catch it?
