Practice and Learn the Piano with Personalized Lessons for Music Theory and Reading Music

I’m Wilhelmina, a piano tutor with over a year of experience with a wide range of students. I will adapt our lessons to each individual and focus on what YOU want to learn. I have been playing piano for about fifteen years, including classical, jazz, soundtrack, and pop music. I also have experience performing, including playing with a symphony and vocalists. I understand how difficult it is to learn an instrument and stay consistent with practicing, so I will be encouraging throughout the entire process. I will not let any of my students give up, but it is okay to take breaks and make sure you are taking care of yourself. I can assist with skills such as reading music, music theory, finger and hand placement, rhythms, scales, learning sharps and flats, key signatures, sight reading, memorization, and pedaling. We will communicate about any confusions and struggles to focus on what you need the most help with. I am excited to teach and tutor anyone who is ready to learn! Music is so important for the brain and I like to emphasize how lucky we are to be able to participate in it, even when we deal with challenges.
