French Tutoring for All Ages from Someone Who Lived the Language First, Not a Classroom.

My name is Alexis Adnise, I go by Annie, and I’m a trilingual tutor fluent in Haitian Creole, English, and French. I grew up in a Haitian household where French was just part of daily life, not something I studied from a textbook. That background is what makes me passionate about teaching it in a way that actually sticks. I work with students of all ages, from kids just starting out to adults who want to finally feel comfortable holding a conversation. I don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach because I’ve seen how much that misses the mark. I take time to figure out where you are and what you actually need before anything else. My teaching style is relaxed but structured. I care more about you being able to use the language than about being perfect. We work on real communication, real pronunciation, and real confidence. Culture and context are a big part of my lessons too, because French is so much more than grammar rules. Outside of tutoring, I’m a healthcare worker in a long-term care and I’m currently studying Health Sciences. I know what it’s like to be a busy person trying to learn something new, and I bring a lot of patience to every session because of that.
