I am Srishti Mishra, a doctoral student at University of Helsinki studying effect of early life stress on mental health and wellbeing. I graduated in 2022 with an Integrated BS-MS in Cell and Molecular Biology after persuing a Master’s thesis at Salk Institute. I speacialize in cell biology, human anatomy, zoology and basic life science topics. Since then, I have been gaining experience in various branches of neuroscience and improving on my science communication skills by volunteering as a teacher for underpriveleged kids in India. I believe in Socratic method of teaching where asking questions curated to the skills of a student improves their understanding of self and become the best version of themselves. Biology is one of the rare feilds where we come across more exceptions than rules and that makes it a beautiful subject.
