Hello! I’m Lazarus, a vocalist and music educator at The New School’s Jazz and Contemporary Music program. Specializing in Jazz, Indie Pop, and Rock, I offer a comprehensive curriculum that goes beyond simple repertoire. My sessions integrate: Vocal Technique: Building breath support, resonance, and long-term vocal health. Theory & Ear Training: Developing the "inner ear" and understanding harmony to navigate complex charts with ease. Improvisation: Finding your unique melodic voice and gaining confidence in creative expression. Performance & Production: From emotional delivery to recording vocals in Ableton Live, I help you bridge the gap between practice and performance. I enjoy working with students of all ages—including kids and beginners—to demystify the structures of contemporary music.
