I've been teaching Java, C, C++, C#, Python, MATLAB, and SQL for about more than 13 years now to college students and early-career professionals. My teaching style is practical and patient. I don't just explain syntax — I focus on the "why" behind each concept and use simple, everyday analogies to build real intuition. For example, I explain pointers using room numbers, or SQL joins using matching puzzle pieces. You set the pace completely. If something doesn't click the first time, I rephrase, draw diagrams on a shared whiteboard, or switch to a completely different example until it makes sense. I genuinely believe there's no such thing as a stupid question — the questions students hesitate to ask are usually the most important ones. My goal isn't to rush through a syllabus or finish chapters. It's to make sure you actually understand what you're writing, can debug your own code, and feel confident moving to the next topic on your own.
