I’m Dennis Alo, a professional music educator, choral arranger, and orchestrator with a unique analytical perspective rooted in my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. With over two decades of experience in the musical arts, I have dedicated my career to bridging the gap between technical precision and creative expression. As the founder and lead instructor of the DAA Music Center, I developed a specialized curriculum designed to help both children and adults master foundational theory and complex technical skills. My teaching style is deeply influenced by my advanced training at the Yamaha School of Music, where I completed all six levels of the Electone Organ course. This rigorous background allows me to provide high-level instruction in piano and double-layered organ, focusing on repertoire, technique, and performance readiness. I specialize in "Oido" or ear-based training, chord theory, and digital transcription using Finale, ensuring my students understand the structural architecture of music. Beyond the keyboard, I am a seasoned Choral Arranging Specialist. I lead intensive masterclasses like "The Choral Architect," where I train aspiring musicians in the intricacies of SATB (4-8 voices) multi-part arrangements and full orchestral scoring. I also serve as a Musical Director and Choirmaster, having led numerous ensembles through parish and community performances. Whether I am preparing students for our center's student recitals or conducting community music seminars, my goal is to unlock each learner's musical potential through a structured, step-by-step approach.
