Enoch - Violin teacher
With a Bachelor's degree in Violin Performance from DePauw University and a Master's degree in Music Technology from New York University, I bring both deep classical training and real-world professional performance experience to every lesson. My teaching spans over four years across private studios, university settings, and church programs - working with students from age 6 through adult, beginner through advanced. My approach is fully personalized. For beginners, I build a strong foundation in posture, bow hold, intonation, and left-right hand coordination through carefully structured scales and etudes. As students progress, I introduce more advanced techniques: vibrato, octaves, ricochet, staccato, harmonics, and specialized bow articulations, always at a pace that feels achievable and exciting rather than overwhelming. What sets my teaching apart is that I am an actively performing professional. I have performed in Off-Broadway productions in New York, played under working Broadway professionals at NYU, and served as Concertmaster for DePauw University's orchestra on a concert tour across Germany and Austria - including performances at the Vienna Musikverein and Munich Mozarteum. I opened a concert for thousands in Taiwan as a solo player. That stage experience is something I bring directly into the lesson room: I teach my students not just how to play, but how to perform with confidence, presence, and artistic intention. I specialize in classical, acoustic, and electric violin, with strong emphases on ear training, posture correction, sight-reading, and repertoire mastery. Whether your goal is to pass an audition, play in an ensemble, or simply fall in love with the instrument, I tailor every session to where you are and where you want to go
