Student-centred language lessons with an experienced tutor for confidence and personalized learning success.

I'm Nadia, and I am a tutor with over 7 years of experience. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English Language and Literature last year, and am planning on going back to school to earn my Bachelor of Education. I hope to become a high school teacher and have been gaining experience working in classroom settings since my graduation. Throughout many years working as a tutor and teacher, I have developed a strong passion for teaching language. My teaching style prioritizes being student-centred, engaging, and goal-oriented. I strive to help each of my students gain confidence in any subject they are working on with me. I do this by using a variety of learning methods - blending speaking, writing, and listening to ensure everyone's strength is highlighted, while also prioritizing improvement in areas that may be more of a challenge. It is important to me that my students are satisfied with the work we do together and genuinely feed their skills and confidence grow throughout our time together. I specialize in teaching language, including English, ESL, and French, however, I am skilled in other subjects as well, namely, History and Visual Art/Art History. I have taught students ranging from Kindergarten through University, however my preference tends to be students in Grade 6 and above. I am excited to hear from you!
