Friendly French Tutor Helping Beginners Build Confidence, Speak with Ease, and Enjoy the Language

I am Bridget Appiah, a Master’s degree holder in French and International Management, with a Bachelor’s degree in French and Linguistics. My passion for learning and teaching French began at a young age, when I first had the opportunity to study the language. During my university years, I regularly supported my classmates by explaining concepts not only in French but also in other subjects, which strengthened my teaching and communication skills. I also volunteered with an initiative called “Donnez un coup de main,” where I prepared final-year JHS students for their French exams. Following positive feedback from both students and organizers, I was invited to continue for an additional year. In addition, I spent a year in France as part of an academic program, which allowed me to further develop my language skills and gain cultural immersion. My teaching approach is centered on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe that language learning should not be intimidating but rather an enjoyable and interactive process. I take the time to understand each student’s level, goals, and learning style, and I adapt my lessons accordingly. For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation, and basic grammar, while gradually introducing simple conversations to build confidence. For more advanced learners, I incorporate discussions, reading, and practical exercises to improve fluency and comprehension.
