Abigail - Get to know your vocal coach
Music has been a constant thread in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve performed in multiple musical theatre productions and had the incredible opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall at just 16 as part of a classical school ensemble. My foundation in music is deeply rooted in rhythm and musicianship through percussion;ranging from xylophone to drums and several other instruments. I have a strong technical understanding of timing, phrasing, and musical structure. Alongside instrumental performance, my voice has always been a central part of my expression. I was actively involved in choir and glee club throughout high school, where I developed vocal technique, blending, and harmony skills. These experiences shaped not only my ear but also my ability to connect emotionally through music. My Teaching Style My approach to teaching singing is intuitive, supportive, and grounded in both technique and authenticity. I focus on helping singers understand their voice; not just control it. That means we work on: • Breath support & control as the foundation • Pitch, tone, and vocal placement with a technical lens • Emotional connection & storytelling, because singing isn’t just about sounding good; it’s about feeling real • Confidence building, especially for singers who feel anxious or unsure I’m very attuned to how emotions affect the voice. If you tend to overthink, get nervous, or feel like you “overshare” in your expression, I actually see that as a strength; we just learn how to channel it instead of letting it overwhelm you. Every voice is different, and I adapt to how you learn best. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: To help you feel confident, expressive, and at home in your own voice.
