Hussan ul - Know your tutor

Hi, Students! I am a passionate mathematics tutor and current PhD student in Mathematics and Quantum Information at Kyung Hee University, South Korea. I hold a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a strong focus on mathematics from one of Pakistan’s top universities (PIEAS - During my admission, it was ranked 1st in Pakistan). But here’s the twist: I wasn’t always a math genius. In fact, I didn’t fall in love with math until university when I realized that even the toughest problems can be cracked with the right fundamentals and mindset. Now, I do math for a living and love helping students discover how logical and beautiful it really is. How I Teach: I follow an intuitive-first approach, just like my favorite YouTuber, 3Blue1Brown. That means: Concept First – I break down topics clearly before jumping into problems. Visual & Logical Thinking - Learn why a concept works, not just how. Confidence Through Fundamentals - Everything in advanced math is built on basics, such as simple concepts like numbers, matrices, sets, vectors, and angles etc. Master them, and you can solve anything. What I Teach: For Kids, High School and Undergraduates → Kids level maths → Algebra | Geometry | Trigonometry → Pre-Calculus & Calculus (AP & A-Level) → SAT | ACT | GRE | Other Standardized Test Prep → Problem-Solving Techniques for Competitive Exams → Calculus (Single & Multivariable) → Linear Algebra | Differential Equations | Numerical Analysis and any other undergraduate maths courses etc 👨‍🏫 Why Learn With Me? I teach in a way that’s engaging, relatable, and confidence-building. If you're preparing for competitive exams or just trying to survive your math class, I’ll help you break problems into manageable steps.

The tutor and student worked through several algebra problems, including expanding binomials, simplifying expressions with square roots, and factorizing quadratic polynomials using the difference of squares formula. They also practiced solving a problem involving the perimeter and area of a rectangle leading to a quadratic equation, and the tutor introduced a substitution method for simplifying complex quadratic expressions.

The Student and Tutor focused on algebraic concepts, including solving quadratic equations using both the quadratic formula and factorization methods. They also practiced expanding complex algebraic expressions involving square roots and grouping terms for factorization. The Student was encouraged to work through the harder questions from exercises 3A and 3B for follow-up practice.

The Tutor and Student reviewed a proof for the sum of a series and then worked on a new problem, proving that the product of four consecutive natural numbers cannot be a perfect square. They subsequently practiced a series of problems from a G8 math exam covering sequences, number theory, geometry, ratios, and angles, with one problem on mean and range carried over to the next class.

The student and tutor worked through a variety of middle school math problems, ranging from basic arithmetic and algebra to more complex series and summation concepts. The student demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and engaged in exploring different proof methods for a series summation problem. The tutor provided resources for further study on mathematical proofs.

The tutor and student reviewed Big O notation, focusing on proving function dominance and bounds using constants 'm' and 'k'. They then transitioned to RSA cryptography, practicing the calculation of key components like n, Euler's totient function, and multiplicative inverses, and understanding the encryption/decryption process.
