Hussan ul - Know your tutor
Hi, Students! I am a passionate mathematics tutor and current PhD student in Mathematics and Quantum Information at Kyung Hee University, South Korea. I hold a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a strong focus on mathematics from one of Pakistan’s top universities (PIEAS - During my admission, it was ranked 1st in Pakistan). But here’s the twist: I wasn’t always a math genius. In fact, I didn’t fall in love with math until university when I realized that even the toughest problems can be cracked with the right fundamentals and mindset. Now, I do math for a living and love helping students discover how logical and beautiful it really is. How I Teach: I follow an intuitive-first approach, just like my favorite YouTuber, 3Blue1Brown. That means: Concept First – I break down topics clearly before jumping into problems. Visual & Logical Thinking - Learn why a concept works, not just how. Confidence Through Fundamentals - Everything in advanced math is built on basics, such as simple concepts like numbers, matrices, sets, vectors, and angles etc. Master them, and you can solve anything. What I Teach: For Kids, High School and Undergraduates → Kids level maths → Algebra | Geometry | Trigonometry → Pre-Calculus & Calculus (AP & A-Level) → SAT | ACT | GRE | Other Standardized Test Prep → Problem-Solving Techniques for Competitive Exams → Calculus (Single & Multivariable) → Linear Algebra | Differential Equations | Numerical Analysis and any other undergraduate maths courses etc 👨🏫 Why Learn With Me? I teach in a way that’s engaging, relatable, and confidence-building. If you're preparing for competitive exams or just trying to survive your math class, I’ll help you break problems into manageable steps.

Mathematics concepts taught by Hussan ul
The Student and Tutor worked on two complex coordinate geometry problems from a textbook, focusing on circular equations and optimization. They first calculated the shortest path between two points that touches a circle, then found the maximum value of a linear expression constrained by a circular equation. The session concluded with an introduction to vectors to provide foundational knowledge for related formulas, and the Student was assigned to explore vectors further and attempt a probability question for homework.
Point-to-Line Distance Formula
Introduction to Vectors
Shortest Path Problem (Circle & Collinear Points)
Gradient of a Line (Slope)
Distance Formula
Equation of a Circle
The session started with introductions and a discussion of the Student's goals to apply mathematics, specifically probability, to real-world scenarios. The Tutor assessed the Student's understanding of probability through a series of problems involving dice, cards, and knockout tournaments, and introduced relevant mathematical resources. They also discussed future session frequency, aiming for weekly classes to maintain skill sharpness.
Fundamentals of Probability: Simple Events
Visualizing Outcomes: Sample Space & Tree Diagrams
Compound Probability: Multiple Independent Events
Probability in Knockout Tournaments
The student and Tutor spent the session working through a 2021 mathematics test, covering a range of topics including algebra, geometry, number theory, and problem-solving. The Student demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, with the Tutor providing guidance on specific questions and clarifying the concept of square roots. Homework questions were assigned for follow-up practice.
Geometric Area Calculations with Constraints
Interpreting Square Roots
Properties of Angles in Geometry
Number Properties: Divisibility and Factors
Algebraic Equation Solving & Proportions
The student and tutor worked through a series of mathematical problems from a competition exam, covering topics such as probability, algebra, geometry, and number theory. The student practiced solving these problems with guidance, and they discussed the reasoning behind the solutions. The tutor encouraged the student to solve the remaining problems independently before their next session.
Probability Basics
Ratio and Proportion
Coordinate Geometry: Reflections
Number Theory: Factorization and Pairs
Geometric Shapes and Formulas
The tutor and student worked through several algebra problems, including expanding binomials, simplifying expressions with square roots, and factorizing quadratic polynomials using the difference of squares formula. They also practiced solving a problem involving the perimeter and area of a rectangle leading to a quadratic equation, and the tutor introduced a substitution method for simplifying complex quadratic expressions.
Simplifying Algebraic Expressions with Radicals
Factoring Quadratic Polynomials using Substitution
Difference of Squares Formula
Solving Systems of Equations (Linear and Quadratic)
The Student and Tutor focused on algebraic concepts, including solving quadratic equations using both the quadratic formula and factorization methods. They also practiced expanding complex algebraic expressions involving square roots and grouping terms for factorization. The Student was encouraged to work through the harder questions from exercises 3A and 3B for follow-up practice.
