Hello! my name is tom i started teaching because i used to teach my niece and she loved it and i feel like everyone young or old deserve the chance to learn piano its a privellage to learn and to play ive been playing music since i was 4 years old and i thank my ma for putting me into music from such a young age every day. I play guitar piano and drums and i sing so i love to talk about rhythm and the melodies and all the back ground structures of songs, i love hands on teaching i think its more fun than me sitting there telling you to read music while i point haha! I think personally the most important lesson of mine is the first lesson as that is when i get to know you and what you like to listen to and what you’d like to play and i really enjoy getting to know that so i can teach you to a standard that you love! I specialise in pop, musical theatre and more im happy for you to come to me with any song suggestions I love to really try and get it into someones head how different peopke hear things differently for example a musically trained ear may hear something off key where as a non musically trained ear would think it sounds fine! and not only that, you hear yourself differently, its all about confidence!
