Hello, My name is Jordan Christiansen, and I am a thirty-two-year-old self-taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. I am an Ontario-certified teacher and a proud member of the OCT. I am a high school English and Social Science teacher and lifelong musician as well as poet. Outside of teaching and working with learning languages, my biggest passion is and always has been music and expression. I have been singing since I was three and taught myself guitar at seventeen before later receiving lessons. My family did not put me in music lessons, despite asking constantly, although I did not allow this to stop me from pursuing a goal I felt was deeply ingrained in my personality. Nowadays, I am enjoying my time playing in an indie-rock band called tidefall, where I am the main songwriter and composer. As a predominantly solo, living room musician, so to speak, I feel grateful to be learning alongside other musicians in a band setting. Since forming in December 2024, I have gained a lot of valuable experience from stage performance, to show promotion, to managing a social media account, and networking with other musicians. Overall, I have strong aspirations to combine my love of teaching and music to support students and adults in pursuing their musical and creative passions.
