Teacher with Special Education background offering beginner/intermediate piano lessons for all ages

Hello, I'm Lauren- a passionate music educator who is passionate about teaching the piano! I have experience teaching piano for about one year, where I worked with students who had a variety of learning styles and abilities. I hold a bachelor's degree in Special Education & Elementary Education and have professional experience in those areas. Because of my background in special education, I am especially passionate about supporting students who may need a little extra support, patience, or creative teaching approaches. I believe every student can succeed when instruction is tailored to your unique skills and strengths. I have been playing the piano for over 20 years and am excited about the opportunity to help others explore the world of music as well! I am comfortable supporting students from the beginner to intermediate level, and am prepared to teach all ages! My lessons focus on building confidence, strong fundamentals, and a love for music. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, learning style, and pace so that learning piano feels encouraging, engaging, and fun.
