Kassy - Get to know your vocal coach
My teaching style as a music instructor has been shaped by more than fourteen years of singing, performing, and teaching students of various ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, and throughout my career I have remained deeply committed to both artistic excellence and meaningful education. My philosophy as a teacher centers on the belief that every student has a unique voice and musical identity that deserves to be developed with patience, discipline, and encouragement. Music is not only a technical craft but also a deeply personal form of expression, and I strive to guide students in discovering both the skill and the confidence needed to express themselves authentically through music. One of the most important aspects of my teaching approach is creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment. Students often come to lessons with different levels of confidence, and many feel vulnerable when learning to sing because the voice is such a personal instrument. I make it a priority to cultivate a space where students feel safe to experiment, make mistakes, and grow without fear of judgment. Encouragement and constructive feedback are essential tools in my teaching. I want students to leave each lesson feeling motivated, empowered, and excited to continue developing their skills. At the same time, I maintain high standards for musical growth and technical development. My background in music performance has provided me with a strong foundation in vocal technique, which I integrate into every lesson. I emphasize the importance of proper breath support, posture, tone production, diction, resonance, and vocal health. -Kassy Eugene
