Guitarist and Bassist with real band experience looking to give beginners their start!

I will teach you, depending on your goals, how to read tablature, chord charts, and/or sheet music. I will also teach you the basics of guitar care, tuning, and how to handle and store the instrument safely. Whether you're interested in strumming chords for rhythm guitar, or riffing amd playing lead, I'll help you get through the basics and teach you what you need to know to continue your growth independently. I have been teaching students independently since I was a teenager, and I am proud to see how far my students have come. I, myself, started learning at 12 and have done things like playing bass and guitar for marching band, symphonic band, and jazz band programs as well as traveling and playing shows in various rock bands. I write and record my own music and have assisted other artists with recording as well. I think learning to play music should be exciting and rewarding. When starting lessons with a new student I typically ask what kind of musical genres and styles you want to play, and pick a beginner friendly song to start you on that feels in line with your interests. As previously stated, the skills I will teach you depend on your goals for learning and your current knowledge on the guitar so that I can give you what you need without wasting time on the stuff you don't need.
