Julian - Know your guitar teacher
Hey, I'm Julian, a Bachelors-educated guitar tutor. I like to start by identifying the guitar skills that matter most to you. Learning guitar is a personal journey and every student has their own unique goals. If you don't have any goals in mind, I can help with that too. I can help you with just about anything: beginner, intermediate, or advanced technique, songs, riffs, rhythm, strumming, scales, theory, ear training, improvisation, soloing, chords/harmony, writing original music/songs/solos/melodies, etc. Once we have a clearer picture of what you want to be able to do, I will provide you with and guide you through the exercises that will help you achieve the goals we set together. We will also create a weekly practice routine that fits your schedule. We would be an especially good fit if you're interested in rock, metal, jazz, or blues lead guitar/soloing/improvisation. But I can help with pretty much anything besides classical/flamenco/bluegrass. I do teach both acoustic and electric. I do not teach Bass Guitar. I've generally had the best results with students 14 and older. The more focused you are, the better results you'll see. I grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, attended Berklee College of Music and McNally Smith College of Music, have played hundreds of live concerts, toured overseas, recorded in studios, formed bands and booked gigs, so I can give advice on being a musician in general if that is helpful! Otherwise let's just get you playing the way you want to :) Talk to you soon! ~Julian
