I am Iverson Fortuno, a dedicated musician with a strong background in music production and live performance. While piano is my primary teaching instrument, I am also experienced in drums, guitar, and keyboard, which allows me to give students a well-rounded understanding of rhythm, harmony, and musical expression. My goal is to help students build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a genuine love for music. My experience in arranging, scoring, and producing music has given me a deep understanding of theory, rhythm, harmony, and performance dynamics which I bring into my teaching approach. I focus not only on technique, but also on musical expression, ear training, and confidence-building. Having led rehearsals and mentored musicians, I am comfortable guiding students step-by-step while adapting to their individual learning pace.

My teaching methodology focuses on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons engaging and student-centered. I emphasize proper posture, hand technique, note reading, rhythm accuracy, and ear training from the beginning. I combine structured learning (scales, exercises, theory) with practical application through songs that match the student’s level and interests. I adapt my pacing based on each student’s progress, ensuring they build confidence step by step. My goal is to develop not only technical skill, but also musical understanding, discipline, and genuine enjoyment of playing the piano. I balance discipline with creativity. Each lesson includes warm-ups, technical exercises, repertoire work, and musical interpretation. I also incorporate familiar or student-preferred songs to keep motivation high while still reinforcing core skills. For beginners, I focus on step-by-step development; for more advanced students, I work on expression, dynamics, phrasing, and performance confidence.
