Hello! My name is Amiee Mayhew. I have recently graduated from ArtsEducational Schools with a BA in Musical Theatre. I have taught singing/musical theatre since the age of 19 and I am now 24! I learnt so much through my degree and love seeing my stjdents grow in confidence and technical skills. I am happy to work on whatever you think you need and then also add in anything that I think would be helpful for each individual student. I believe in having a friendly, encouraging approach whilst also pushing you to produce the best work you can possibly achieve! Join me to explore growing in confidence, technique and finding joy in a skill that can be so magical! My vocal strengths lie in musical theatre, pop, country tones and jazz singing. I do have training in legit singing and know some classical techniques. I can not wait to go on this journey with every one of you!

My teaching methods focus on themes of encouragement and motivation. I woulf start with a vocal warm up/check in. Then I would move on to some technique work, focusing on breath and different vocal techniques. If there is any particular material that you wanted go focus on we can look at that. We would focus on vocal technique and then vocal quality and emotional intention. I am happy to suggest rep that I think would suit you and your voice. We would work on songs that excite you but I also know that sometimes you avoid songs that you don’t think you could acheive or be capable of! We will cover the different vocal qualities that you can use and we can make a focus on certain styles of singing from week to week. Every style will require slightly different technique and the aim is to make you versatile to conquer any style that you would like to.
