I teach Singing and Voice/Performance Lessons. My name is Jhanmari Flores. I am often referred as "Coach Mari." My experience lies in Jazz, Blues, R&B, Pop, Alternative Rock, and Soul singing. I cater beginners and intermediate vocalists from all levels (children, teens, or adults). I offer personalized learning in pitch accuracy, vocal dynamics, vocal control, improv/artistic singing, stage/stream performance techniques, and more. With me, we will delve into your artistry and competency as a vocalist. My approach is holistic. I understand that most students have different learning styles; hence, I have the ability to adjust and cater to the pacing the students need in order for them to have a comfortable learning space. I know that music and the arts is supposed to be a safe haven for many so I just want to give them the opportunity to savour it. I have mentioned in my bio that my teaching style is "holistic." I am quite flexible to the needs of my students; thus, my style is centered specifically around musicality, expression, building confidence, and competency through engaging lessons. I handle genres such as Jazz, Blues, Pop, R&B, and Soul for students of all levels. I can also teach "coordination" for vocalists who performs using instruments such as "guitar or ukulele." I can also teach the basics of song-writing. I also specialize in artistic/improv, vocal control, vocal dynamics, and timing; thus, I can unleash the full potential of my students in their vocal training with me. I also take the opportunity to use interactive online platforms and video conferencing to create personalized lessons. I prefer improving "raw vocals" but I can also use variety of practical tech tools like "bandlab." I follow a flexible and semi-structured curriculum. I can cater to a small audience or even one-on-one lessons.
