Abigail - Get to know your vocal coach
Hi! My name's Abigail, and I'm an experienced peripatetic music teacher currently offering remote tutoring for singing students. As an independent solo musician and band member in an indie rock six-piece, I have plenty of experience as a lead and backing vocalist, with industry and live performance knowledge to pass on. I am constantly working to improve my vocal technique and health, and encourage and prioritise the same for all my students! If you are a beginner seeking a stepping stone into the world of music as a singer, or an intermediate looking for more advanced skill boosters and technique and performance development, my lessons offer a welcoming, empowering, and tailored approach specific to your voice, style, and goals. Let's expand your passion for singing together, step by step! Feel free to reach out with any enquiries! Kind regards, Abigail

Singing lessons highlights
My singing lessons are centred on vocal health and technique, building strong foundations for young voices, whether you're a beginner seeking a strong start or an intermediate looking to freshen up your skills! My lesson approaches are dependent on my students' goals - for those who are hoping to enter into exams and study sight singing, I lead lessons with resources such as sheet music and books, accessible online or physically, to guide students through the process of learning to read music and develop confidence when preparing for examinations. For those who are looking for more relaxed support on specific targets they have in mind for their singing, or for general vocal tutoring, I demonstrate and teach practices and techniques that specifically tackle those goals and make space for further development, constantly seeking ways to improve performance for those just wanting to sing for the love of it!

Singing concepts taught by Abigail
The student and tutor focused on vocal warm-up techniques, including diaphragm activation and breath control exercises. They practiced lip trills, consonant sirens, and vowel sounds to prepare the voice. The session also introduced exercises for achieving a country music vocal tone, with the student attempting to apply these techniques to a song.
