Hi, my name is Jessie Yahner, and I am an experienced violin tutor! I have taught beginner and intermediate violin to adults and students of all ages, most recently being middle school and high school students. I specialize in classical and baroque violin while also having experience with fiddle. My tailored approach covers bow techniques, scales, arpeggios, solo repertoire, sight reading, and ear training. I tailor my lessons to the specific needs of each individual student, providing them etudes and repertoire most relevant to what they are wanting to learn and improve upon. I will be graduating Penn State University main campus in the fall of 2026 with degrees in both Art and Music Performance. I have been playing the violin since middle school and participated in various youth symphonies and district/regional competitions. During my senior year of high school, I was concertmaster of the Johnstown Symphony Youth Orchestra and was eligible to audition for All-State Orchestra in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association conference.
