Professional and Dynamic Piano Lessons with Emphasis on Understanding Theory, Skills and Technique and Unlock Music Creativity.

Hi, I am Charles Maziade a piano and music teacher here! I am living in the eastern township of the province of Quebec in Canada. I speak English and French. I am specialized in teaching music theory and guide you to understand everything to build your own chords progressions and know how to build around them. If you want scales drills or highly technical piano theories and techniques, I am not your guy. If you already play piano or want to learn and be able to confidently read and play any music sheet or partition, I am the right tutor for you. I am an easy going and friendly person, but I am a professional teacher and I like to make every minute of teaching efficient and beneficial for my students. In the past, students told me they felt confortable in class that they like my attitude and personality and that I was pushing their limit to make them progress quickly.

I start to evaluate and analyse your proficiency in different aspect of music theory and piano playing. Depending on where you are we would start with basics, how to place your hand and fingers to reading your first notes on a sheet. I would use a blend of written theory, videos, explanations, drawings etc. I adapt to each students and if there are some media that ease your learnings, we should lean toward that and focus on what works for the student. I am also focus on student participation and engagement, so you would choose the songs you want to play, I would ask you questions and make you research to make sure you are always engaged with the subject or topic at hand. I also think that working between lessons, especially in music is important, so I am big with fixing goals and objective in time. We set those together each week and also set mid-long term goals to get real outcomes and transformation in the future.
