Joseph - Know your guitar teacher

I have taught music since I was 22 years old. I am 37 years old now. I have my teaching down to a science including other methods for students that think differently. I teach about every genre including metal genres. I do band coaching too and I teach bass and drums alongside guitar and piano. I also teach vocals. Kids are supposed to have fun at music practice. I get them where they can jam and have fun pretty quickly. I also jam with them in order to power level them. Power leveling is getting them better a lot faster. What we do is go over more music theory and technique like adding pentonics to open chords to mix open chords and picking. That is an earlier lesson on guitar but make a good sound. I know some things about getting gigs and setting up portfolios and recording software. I believe the most modern portfolio is an epk. I love teaching music and can't wait to get back to it.

Guitar lessons quick guide

I mix music theory with skill and technique training. The first lesson I try to get them to play eminor, gmajor, dmajor, in open chords. I get them to practice stringing the the three chords together. And work on the verse part of about a girl by Nirvana. Also if they are older what I got by Sublime. The next lesson will build off of that by adding more open chords like a minor and f sharp dimenished. Staying in the key of e minor. The next lesson is picking some of A minor pentatonic. From there we start power chords and build skill by playing Brain Stew by green day. I use the power chords to start teaching music theory. I call it power chords theory. When using a power chord you do not have to specify major or minor because it's actually an interval with a double root. Play the power chords associated with the key of e minor. E Fsharpdim G A B C D E. Play those power chords on any order or classical style tonic to tonic. That is pretty much the beginning of my guitar lessons.
