My name is Jenelle Munday. Throughout the past twenty years I have taught music and singing in a variety of situations, including performing arts schools, one to one vocal coaching, teaching choirs and teaching group classes with students ranging from the age of four to twenty-one. I am qualified up to Grade 8 Singing (ABRSM) with distinction and I also play the piano. It is my aim to ensure that my students not only learn effective, performance worthy technique and tone, but to build confidence and presence that can be used as a transferrable skill as needed. I offer personalised lessons tailored to the need of the student, constantly assessing current ability and guiding realistic next steps of progress to ensure success! My specialities include a range of singing genres, pitch, dynamics and vocal control and expressive performance technique.

In my personalised tutoring approach, I focus on student-led progress, motivating and encouraging young singers to push the limits and let go of inhibitions. I focus on using dynamics, pitch perfecting exercises and breathing techniques to create engaging, expressive performances. I specialise in light operatic/ musical theatre, pop and acoustic singing and engage students in online learning through platforms like Zoom and Teams. Each lesson is planned to suit the individual student - especially children and teenagers - whether they are brand new to singing or have experience but would benefit from extra coaching. I have taught and supported many pupils through their singing journey and watched their spectacular progress week to week. I foster an environment of creativity, self-esteem and fun while guiding students to their full singing potential.
