Guitar lessons quick guide
The most important thing to me while teaching is that my student is engaged and interested in the material. Because of this, I prefer to write individualized curriculums for each student. For beginner students, I start with getting familiar with the instrument, including the names of each piece, how to hold it, and how to sit. I integrate music theory into every lesson alongside student interest driven learning. If you want to learn a song, we're learning that song! When practicing becomes playing, I see my students excel. I leverage a variety of tools like interactive software and educational apps to create personalized tutoring sessions, blending new technology with tried and true teaching techniques. I have successfully taught over 100 students, catering to various levels from kids to adults and beginners to advanced players. I love to share my breadth of experience with my students to help them foster a deep love and understanding for music.

Guitar concepts taught by Eli
Student and Tutor focused on guitar technique and music theory. Student practiced the C major scale, receiving feedback on left-hand posture, alternate picking, and metronome timing. The session then introduced the A minor pentatonic scale, its relation to C major, and how to use it for structured improvisation over blues backing tracks, emphasizing phrasing and landing on beat one. Follow-up included practicing both scales with metronomes and backing tracks, applying new techniques and focusing on intentional phrasing.
