Hone your tone and boost your confidence in my fun, energy-filled singing lessons!

I'm Jess, a passionate and encouraging singing teacher who focuses on boosting your confidence and honing your technique. I can teach all levels but love singing for fun where there is no judgement and no worries, and love teaching beginner/intermediate! I specialise in musical theatre, classical and movie singing, though I'm happy to teach some pop. I have sung all of these styles, plus opera, professionally. I can support your music theory, natural ear and pitching from my 2 years of experience in teaching and with piano experience on top of my singing experience. I have DBS clearance so I am happy to work with children and have lots of experience in working with them patiently and efficiently. I can't wait to get started with you and pass on my tips and tricks from my time on stage and from other high-end professionals in the industry!

I teach my students how to master their breath control, ensuring they can hold notes for the correct amount of time. I've trained using Estill methods so this will be passed on with students finding different qualities and textures in their voices and how to use those qualities to their benefit. I will also be focusing on pitching notes and being able to do this in the student's head, therefore training your musical ear. Finally, my main training point and favourite training topic is overcoming nerves and building confidence. I will encourage you to go for the note and not hide from it. I will ask you to do silly but fun things that may seem pointless, but I can promise you will feel and notice a difference in your vocal quality, vocal ability and your actual voice box. Stemming from this, we will also prioritise vocal health, keeping the larynx nice and happy.
