Mathematics Expert with a Focus on Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Number Theory and Geometry

I go by Mohan and I like exploring Mathematics both as a hobby and as an academic pursuit. I like to think that more than being a teacher, I am a perpetual student who likes studying math as much as teaching it. I specialize in high school math and can confidently engage with Algebra, Triginometry, Calculus, Statistics, Discrete Math, Geometry, Applied Math and Number Theory. I have taught for over 4 years in several schools and have always enjoyed the process of both teaching math and learning some very interesting insights back from my students in the process. I aspire to become a better mathematician and love honing my craft as I move forward in time. I try to naturally bring whole concepts that are integral to the class rationally, without disregarding irrational ideas and keeping it real - with all imaginary ideas intact. That math joke for those of you who read till the end. Umm yeah, humor may not be my strongest suit. But I make up for it with my math.

I teach math the way I learn it - Intuitively yet rigorously, and passionately yet carefully. I believe that math is one of the easiest subjects to ever exist academically, in that it happens to have everything in place even before you start solving something or figuring out if something is mathematically accurate. Unlike other disciplines where you have to make an attempt to experiment or observe the real world to understand something, math only requires the mind to capture what is being discussed clearly. Hence, I teach math through visual and imaginative cerebral ideas and aides that help a student understand a concept once and for all. I like to be patient as a teacher with each student and engage with them at their pace and not mine. I like to show my students that math is not a race to get better, but a journey to engage in and admire the beauty of. The more you do math, the more beautiful it becomes.
