Personalized Online Piano Lessons – Technique, Ear Training & Musical Expression

I'm Gulliver Dickson, a dedicated online piano tutor with over 11–12 years of playing experience and a strong passion for music and teaching. I began learning piano with a private teacher, which gave me a solid classical foundation and an appreciation for structured, high-quality musical education. Not long after beginning my studies, I started performing, which helped me develop confidence, musical expression, and a deeper understanding of how music works in real performance settings. Over the years, I’ve developed a highly accurate relative pitch ear, a natural instinct for recognizing and understanding piano melody patterns, and a strong sense of musical phrasing. I place particular emphasis on musical listening, rhythm, and effective pedal technique, helping students understand not just how to play notes, but how to shape music expressively. My experience allows me to guide students through concepts such as chord theory, ear training, finger placement, rhythm, and sight reading in a practical and engaging way. My teaching style prioritizes personalized learning. I adapt lessons to suit each student’s goals, learning style, and musical interests, whether they are complete beginners or developing intermediate players. I cover a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, and modern piano, and aim to build both technical ability and musical confidence. My goal is to create an encouraging environment where students can develop strong foundations while unlocking their own musical potential.
