Guitar lessons quick guide
With over 15 years of refining my craft, I’ve developed a teaching philosophy that balances technical discipline with musical freedom. My goal isn’t just to teach you songs, but to turn you into a self-sufficient musician. 1. The Technical Foundation (The "How") We start with the mechanics. Whether it's the posture for Classical guitar or the finger strength needed for Bass, we build a foundation that prevents injury and promotes speed. Focus: Strumming & Picking techniques, Fingerstyle precision, and Hand synchronization. 2. Theoretical Literacy (The "Why") I demystify the fretboard. Instead of memorizing shapes blindly, I teach you the "grammar" of music so you can communicate with other musicians. Focus: Music Theory, Scales & Modes, and Ear Training to help you "hear" a song and play it instantly. 3. Creative Application (The "Play") This is where it gets fun. We take the scales and chords and apply them to the music you love. We work on building a repertoire that you’re proud to perform. Focus: Chord Progressions, Song Repertoire, and developing your unique "voice" on the instrument. For Beginner: - First chords & rhythms. - Reading basic tabs/notation. - Learning your first 3 songs. For Intermediate: - Barre chords & Pentatonics. - Introduction to Music Theory. - Developing "Ear" recognition. For Advanced: - Modal improvisation. - Complex Fingerstyle pieces. - Advanced Composition & Soloing. My Teaching Philosophy: "I believe every student is a unique puzzle. My job is to find the right 'key'—whether that's a specific song, a theory breakthrough, or a technical adjustment—that unlocks your passion for the guitar."
