I've been a guitar and music profesor for over 45 years. Teaching classical and jazz, fingerstyle or picking as well as arranging for big orchestras. Instarted studying full time music specialized in guitar at 11 and graduated with a Bachelor degree at 24. I am a serious guitar and music teacher, I am very devoted to my teaching and expect comitment from my students. I rather intermediate and advance students, but can also accept beguiners with a little experience laying basic chords. I am old school teacher and use specific guitar methods depending on the style and level of the student. I do not teach by ear, I will teach my students to read real music so that they can communicate and share music with any musician in the world. I use several books depending on the interest of the student, being jazz, classical, or just regular guitar, I also teach harmony applied to the guitar, music reading and theory. It is tailored to how the student advances, so the approach it is very personal as not everyone moves at the same pace and the level of dextery (beguinners, intermediate and advance). Music has been my full time life experience since I was 11 years old and now I am close to 63. I've recorded 5 albums, performed life accross the US, and Canada, compose, arrange and produce, so my experience is wide and vast and I try to share all my knowledge to those who would love to learn as mush as I do. I am still learning, I practice every day at least 2 hours when I am short of time, but regularly 4 to 6 hours as it becomes a great habit that expands our intellect and develops great discipline.
