My name is Ally Nguyen, an online tutor offering personalized singing lessons. I've been teaching casually for about 3 years now. I have taught styles from pop to Musical theatre. As I am an active musical theatre performer with 2 years of training under my belt. I can help beginners to find their footing to intermediate to more experienced looking to brush up on some material. I pride myself on nurturing everyones skills from kids to young adults. I specialize in helping with things such as Ear training, Improvisation, Rhythm and performance. It's very important for me to feel and perform a song as ones self and I am beyond excited to share that mentality with others. A fun fact about me as that I have done a wide array of genres myself such as Kpop, Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz and Golden age. My teaching method is based on mutual understanding, a relaxed environment, and collaborative learning. I build respectful relationships with my students, taking time to understand their strengths, challenges, and interests while clearly explaining my expectations. I maintain a calm, low-pressure environment where mistakes are part of learning and students feel comfortable participating. I also make lessons fun and realistic by connecting content to real-life situations, I've note that my students flourish when they come in and we talk and work through their material step by step to bring them out of their shells and glow with confidence. Finally I know my students have a voice in what and how they learn, creating a collaborative atmosphere where they feel valued, engaged, and motivated to succeed is what these lessons are truly about.
