Experienced tutor helping for grade improvement

Hello, I am Ahmad Samakie, a Pianist/Singer/Composer who's been active for over 4 years. I have experience in piano improvisation/accompaniment/performance, and composition. I offer tutoring for beginners and intermediates. Depending on the preferences of the student, my sessions will incorporate Ear training, improvisation, music theory (focusing on composition or performance), and general performance techniques. I like to focus on the creativity and art of performance, which is why I encourage students to explore their musicality during sessions. i will let students pick their own pieces and express themselves freely, while providing the appropriate instruction. My lessons will completely revolve around performance, but if a student wishes, I would also offer a complete focus on composition. whether it is songwriting, producing, or general composition.

My tutoring will focus on creativity, musicality, and expression. I encourage students to make their own decisions and present them with the correct path to achieve them. I will focus on ear training and music theory. I will also teach improvisation techniques (jazz or otherwise, depending on student preference). If a student chooses performance, I will focus on instruction for performance to an audience, emphasizing tonal consistency and solid technique. If a student chooses composition, I will focus much more heavily on music theory, using the piano to visualize musical concepts and applying them to construct a musical composition. i allow students to pick their own pieces in order to maximize enjoyment and encourage students to have fun with the pieces. It is easiest to get absorbed in the pieces you play when they are pieces you love.
