Taylor made singing lessons for beginner/intermediate students. Flexible, fun and engaging!

Welcome! My name is Grace and I’m passionate about music, singing and teaching. Currently studying at the world’s leading concervoire (the Royal College of Music) on saturdays, I am also preparing for a full time undergraduate course at the Royal Northern College of Music. As such, my specialties include classical singing and opera for intermediate singers. Lessons will be taylor made for the student, so anything from pop to jazz is welcome. I also have experience with musical theatre, playing roles like Adelaide in Guys and Dolls and Carlotta in Phantom of the Opera in amateur productions. So, I welcome any student that is passionate about musical theatre! I’m lookimg for stufents that are ready to learn and collaberate. Once again, lessons are customisable, as I believe in the importance of individually taylored lessons.

My lessons will focus heavily on breathing tecniques, posture and relaxation, following a school of teaching known as the accent method. Things like ear training and sight singing can also be baked into the lessons if requested. Students are advised to bring repertorie that they love but I will also help them in finding pieces to sing. I will be using various online platforms for backing tracks, warm up tracks and ear training, all of which students are encouraged to use in their own time as well! Video calls are preferred, as this will allow me to judge posture and tension in the body that inhibits singing and airflow. Once again, breathing and breathing exercises are a core part of my teaching, and students will be expected to practice this in their own time. As a French speaker, I can also help with pronunciation for those studying classical French Chanson.
