Mihaela - Your piano teacher
I am a dedicated piano teacher with over 8 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages, from young beginners starting at 4 years old to adult learners. I prepare students for ABRSM examinations, offering complete guidance not only in piano performance, but also in music theory, aural skills, and sight-reading. I graduated from the London College of Contemporary Music as well as the Piano Performance College “Stefan Neaga,” which has given me a strong classical foundation combined with a modern and practical musical approach. My teaching style focuses on helping students truly understand how music works and how to play the piano in a clear and easier way, rather than relying only on memorization. I adapt my lessons to each student’s learning pace and goals, making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable. In addition to classical training, I help students develop creativity by learning how to improvise with confidence and how to create their own arrangements of songs. My goal is to build strong technique, musical independence, and a lifelong love for music.

Piano lessons at a glance
My teaching methodology is centered on understanding, clarity, and individual development. I believe that students progress best when they clearly understand how and why music works, rather than learning pieces mechanically. For this reason, I break down complex technical and musical concepts into simple, logical steps, helping students approach the piano in an easier and more confident way. Lessons are tailored to each student’s age, level, learning style, and personal goals, whether they are learning for enjoyment, creative development, or ABRSM exam preparation. I place strong emphasis on building healthy technique, good posture, and efficient practice habits from the very beginning, especially with young beginners. Alongside piano performance, I integrate music theory, aural training, and sight-reading into regular lessons so students develop well-rounded musicianship. Creativity is an essential part of my methodology. I encourage students to explore improvisation, understand harmony, and learn how to create their own arrangements of songs. This helps them become independent musicians who can adapt, express themselves freely, and enjoy making music beyond written scores. My goal is to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where students gain confidence, discipline, and a lasting connection to music.
