Daniel - Know your guitar teacher
Hello! I'm Dan! I find joy in making music, singing, and teaching students. I play and teach guitar, bass, piano, drums, ukulele and mandolin. I've been in several bands that have played at many venues in Ottawa. I've taught music to individuals and bands for over 20 years in a variety of settings. I understand that all students have their own ways of learning. I've learned how to reach students of any age, to build on their skill set, and to help them overcome any physical or mental challenges they may have. I think music should be exciting and enjoyable to explore. It can teach us about ourselves and how we learn. It should also be interactive!Music is a great way to learn to listen, collaborate and share with others. My particular focuses include rhythm training, ergonomic awareness, and practical and conscious techniques for growth and learning. It has been rewarding for me to see my students grow as people and as musicians, gain confidence and self-awareness, and learn to work with others. In my private time, I hang out with my two dogs, garden and play sports. I look forward to working with you!
