Ghazal - Your piano teacher
I'm Ghazal Ghasempour, a visual artist, art and piano teacher based in San Diego. I have been playing piano for more than 12 years now. I mostly play classical music from different composers, but when it comes to teaching, my students' interests are the most important thing. I started teaching piano one year ago and I have taught both adult and children in different ages. I have experience with both private and group classes. I teach in two music schools in San Diego, where I design my own lesson plans and prepare my students for their performances. I design personalized lesson plans for each student depending on what their need and goals. I always like to use different tools and resources for teaching to make the classes more interactive, fun and exciting for my students. I try to cover music theory, techniques, sight-reading and playing songs in the lessons.

I design personalized lesson plans depending on the needs, interests and goals of each student. I always like to work on music theory, sight-reading, playing techniques as well as teaching students' their favorite songs to them. I use different tools for different age groups, with younger ages I try to use stuffy animals, flash cards, stickers and games to help them learn better and make this progress more interesting for them. One of the things that is important to me is that I teach steps of learning a new song to my students so they can play various songs in their level, not being 100% dependent on the class. I try to work on lessons and provide materials that work well with each student's level and it's also challenging for them and teacher them a new concept. I don't like repetition and staying in the same level for a long time, so I try to help my students always improve.
