Em - Know your english tutor
Hi, I’m Joycel Em Villafuerte, an experienced ESL teacher with a strong background in conversational English and many years of lived experience in the UK, allowing me to teach English in a natural, authentic, and culturally fluent way. I’ve had the privilege of teaching native English-speaking university students from the University of Greenwich as part of their Perceptorship Program, further strengthening my expertise in real-world communication. Beyond traditional classrooms, I am deeply committed to inclusive and humanitarian education. I recently teach and work with diverse and often underserved communities, including Individuals Deprived of Liberty, Persons with Disabilities, Single Parents, Indigenous Peoples, and Internally Displaced Individuals. My mission is to make English education accessible, empowering, and life-changing—especially for those at the margins of society. I am also tech-savvy and digitally fluent, working as a social media manager to help promote humanitarian outreach programs and amplify initiatives that support the least-served members of our communities. In collaboration with various givernment agencies and private sector stakeholders, I actively support and organize charitable and community-based events, combining education, technology, and advocacy to create meaningful social impact

English classes overview
My teaching method is shaped by global experience, cultural awareness, and real-world communication. Having lived in the UK for many years and worked with both native and non-native English speakers, I teach English as it is naturally used—practical, expressive, and relevant to everyday life. I take a learner-centered and inclusive approach, working with diverse communities such as Individuals Deprived of Liberty, Persons with Disabilities, Single Parents, Indigenous Peoples, and Internally Displaced Individuals. I create supportive learning environments that build confidence through meaningful conversation and real-life scenarios. As a tech-savvy educator and social media manager, I also integrate digital tools and humanitarian advocacy into my work, using language education as a bridge to empowerment, inclusion, and global understanding.
