Michael - Know your guitar teacher
Hello! My name is Michael Pfannkuche and thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I started learning music at age 8 in Southern California with his elementary school band, and would go on to play with his high school marching band, concert band, and jazz band eventually moving to professional marching band! After that he focused on music education in college, and taught at multiple award winning high schools. I am a veritable Jack of all trades when it comes to percussion instruments, excelling at mallet percussion, drums, piano, guitar and concert percussion. Along with that I also have a background in audio engineering, and jazz performance! I believe that every music lesson should start with engagement and fun, and that focusing on trust between teacher and student will ultimately open the easiest path to musical success!
Michael graduated from University Of Silicon Valley

Guitar lessons quick guide
As far as my teaching methods are concerned, I generally feel that finding out the goal of my students and working towards that is the best approach. If someone wants to learn a couple of chords then we focus on that, if someone wants to learn the theory behind the instrument and how to use that to compose music themselves? The we can take the steps to build up to such a large goal. Starting simple with a base line to understand each concept that is involved in obtaining that goal is also incredibly important I feel! When approaching guitar lessons I like to make sure we have a basic understanding of music on a foundational level and then we can use outside tools such as recording software, physical book material, playing along to a backing track, and other such experiences to get everything you would need out of your lessons. Each lesson should be handled with care and specific intent and I can't wait to share that with you!
