Hi! I’m Mark Joseph Enting, a licensed professional English teacher with 10 years of teaching experience, helping students improve their English skills and confidence. I have taught elementary, junior high, and senior high students, as well as adult learners, both in traditional classrooms and online. I specialize in English grammar, speaking, reading, writing, and literature, and I’m also experienced in teaching ESL learners from different nationalities. I worked as an online English teacher for 51Talk for several years, where I developed strong skills in delivering engaging lessons, adjusting quickly to student needs, and making learning enjoyable and effective. I also hold TESOL and TEFL certifications, and I currently teach in a public school, which strengthened my classroom management, lesson planning, and student support skills. My teaching methodology is student-centered and communication-focused. With my Master’s degree in English Language Teaching (MA in ELT), I design lessons where learners are actively involved and feel confident expressing themselves in English. I believe students learn best when they are not only listening to the teacher, but also participating, practicing, and applying the language in meaningful ways. I create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, learn from them, and build confidence. I incorporate engaging activities such as games, roleplays, interactive tasks, and speaking challenges to keep students motivated. I also use realia and real-life topics such as daily routines, hobbies, travel, school life, and future goals to make learning more authentic and practical. I prioritize student talk time through pair work, group discussions, interviews, and guided conversations to improve fluency and communication skills. Lastly, I provide supportive feedback and gentle correction to help students improve accuracy in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation while maintaining confidence and enjoyment in learning.
