Learn Piano with Fun, Structured Lessons for Beginners and Kids—Enjoy Every Lesson

I’m Jasmine Ruth Cruz, a piano tutor with over four years of teaching experience, specializing in lessons for kids and beginners. I began studying piano in childhood and continued my training up until college. Throughout my student years, I consistently performed as a recitalist, and my final recital piece was Tarantella, which marked an important milestone before I began teaching. I have taught piano face-to-face every summer for more than four years, working with students aged 5 to 10 and above. My teaching experience includes handling a wide range of personalities—from shy and quiet learners to energetic, playful, and even emotional students. Through patience, encouragement, and consistency, I create a safe and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning and expressing themselves. My lessons focus on finger placement, basic music theory, scales, chord theory, ear training, and performance skills. I also facilitated weekly group theory classes where students of different ages learned together. While these sessions could be lively and sometimes chaotic, I made sure they were engaging and interactive so students stayed motivated and excited to learn. I believe learning piano should be both structured and fun. My goal is to help students build strong fundamentals, develop confidence, and enjoy their musical journey every step of the way.

I also incorporate performance preparation and simple exercises to improve technique and musical understanding. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions, and expressing themselves through music.
