Hi! I’m Makhosi or Maks for short. I'm your friendly, high-energy ESL tutor who makes learning English feel easy, fun, and confidence-boosting. I teach all ages, from curious kids to motivated adults, whether you’re a total beginner or already advanced. I hold a 120h ESL Diploma in Teaching and over a year of experience. I’m currently studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, which means my classes are both well-structured and super creative. I love teaching through real conversations, laughter, visuals, and interactive activities ,especially fun, playful lessons for kids and relaxed, natural conversation practice for adults. We’ll work on speaking, pronunciation, accents, grammar, reading, writing, and vocabulary, all with real-life English you can actually use. I’m an absolute joy to be around and I create a comfortable space where mistakes are welcome and confidence grows fast. I also help with homework, test prep, career guidance, and I happily adapt my lessons for students with special needs. My lessons are taught online via Zoom/Google Meet in a relaxed, engaging, and interactive environment. For adults, lessons are centered around natural conversations that build fluency, confidence, pronunciation, and accent clarity. For kids, I use fun, playful methods with visuals, games, stories, and movement to keep them excited and fully engaged. I adapt each lesson to the student’s age, level, goals, and learning style, whether they are beginners or advanced learners. I emphasize speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing while naturally correcting mistakes and encouraging confidence. Visual learning aids, screen sharing, and interactive activities are used throughout each Zoom session to make learning enjoyable and effective. I also incorporate cultural context and real-world scenarios, and I am comfortable supporting students with special needs by adjusting my teaching pace and methods. My goal is to create a safe, positive space where students feel motivated, supported, and excited to learn English.
