I possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of mathematics and Opportunity Class. I possess a bachelors degree in mathematics from the university of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and I have 3 years of teaching experience in this field of study under my belt. I look for critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning skills in students and I aim to bring out and hone these skills through interactive and informative activities while also demonstrating cultural sensitivity and awareness, respecting and valuing diverse perspectives and backgrounds in the classroom. The methodology for tutoring Opportunity Class first starts with assessing the students current ability to solve problems through diagnostic tests and then establish clear learning objectives with the student to ensure alignment with their academic needs and aspirations. I will also break down complex aspects of the course into comprehendable information and provide necessary support to facilitate gradual learning. I will make sure to give the student enough test prep to build confidence and enhance his problem-solving abilities. I will also allow for a regular feedback mechanism to timely correct the students inaccuracies and better exploit his strengths.
