Nardgelen - Get to know your vocal coach
Hi! I am Nardgelen Jean Francois, your go-to expert for tailored singing lessons. I have more than 3 years of teaching others how to sing as well as how to sing together. I perform professionally all over and have over 11+ years of professional performance experience. My specialized lessons encompass Folk, Classical, Country, Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Pop singing for students of all levels: kids, adults, beginners, and intermediate singers. Students who take my lessons can first and foremost expect to be in a safe learning environment. As far as my teaching style goes, I like to teach with the use of kinesthetic movements while singing because our voice, body, and mind are all connected. Kinesthetic movement helps us with certain singing techniques. The first lesson will be a diagnostic of what the singer needs to work on and we will go from there. Expect to learn repitoire in your preferred genre while you apply the techniques you learned in your lesson(s). I also take the time to teach you basic music theory for sight-singing so that my students have the tools they need to be successful and independent musicians.

Singing lessons highlights
My lessons are centered around engagement, expressivity, kinetic movements, and confidence-building with a focus on musicality and proper breathing techniques. I specialize in various singing genres including Country, Pop, Folk, Blues, Classical, Rock, Jazz, and more. On day one, you can expect to learn/sing-through a variety of exercises so I can get an idea of where you are vocally and how I can best tailor future lessons to your voice type and range. To enhance the learning experience, I leverage a variety of tech tools like music recording software, spectrographs, and other interactive resources. As I’ve said before, I like to employ a kinesthetic approach to singing, so my students can expect to be doing some form of movement in each lesson to better grasp the exercises they will learn. I also believe in singing what you like. If there’s a song that you really want to master, bring it in and we can work on it together. I follow a structured curriculum tailored to cater to students aged 10 and above, encompassing singing for kids, adults, beginners, and intermediate levels. Through personalized tutoring, I aim to instill a love for music, boost self-assurance, and nurture vocal skills effectively in a safe environment.
