Shiron - Know your english tutor

Shiron is currently an MBA student with a BSc in chemistry and MSc in pharmaceutical sciences. She's also an entrepreneur and an analyst for a student investment fund at school. She's happy to help young kids struggling to learn English as she was in ESL in the past. She also has 5 years of experience as a swim instructor, teaching toddlers all the way to adults! The best approach to becoming fluent in English is to talk more. Whether your kid is shy or would like to have friend to talk to, to improve their English speaking skills, Shiron can help and make it a painless journey. Learning a language is not just about the pronunciation and the vocabulary you choose, but also about building confidence. Building trust with the student is the first lesson, and as the student starts gaining more confidence, Shiron would start increasing the difficulty of the topics they cover, making each conversation worthwhile, without the need to memorize a whole bunch of words and sentence structures.

English classes overview

Each lesson with her will be like a normal conversation, covering different topics, starting with what the student is most comfortable with. As the lessons continue, the students may try to go into other unfamiliar topics, expanding on their vocabulary. They will also be encouraged to ask questions about words they don't understand or certain expression they are unfamiliar with. It is preferred for the student to have one-on-one or small group settings to ensure each person gets a chance to practice speaking comfortably. Shiron focuses on providing a safe learning environment so that students can improve their skills faster as psychologically, people learn faster when doing things they like or enjoy doing. The topics covered could be anything related to real world applications. For example, if the student enjoys talking about fashion or makeup, that could be a topic to touch base on, since the student will have the most to talk about on a subject they are passionate about.
