Elizabeth - Violin teacher

I am a violin instructor with over 15 years of experience teaching both children and adults. I have supported students in developing their musical abilities for a variety of purposes, including school performances, academic requirements, recordings, and recitals. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students at different skill levels and some had passed their graded violin exams and auditions. For young learners, I incorporate the Suzuki Method, while also customizing each lesson to align with the student’s individual goals and learning style. I place strong emphasis on building a solid technical foundation, proper posture, and ear training, while keeping lessons engaging and enjoyable. I also take great pleasure in working with adult learners who pursue violin as a hobby, fostering a positive, patient, and encouraging environment that supports steady progress. In addition to technical skills, I guide students in developing musicality, discipline, and confidence in performance. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to ensure lessons remain effective, motivating, and rewarding. My goal is to help each student grow not only as a musician but also to develop a lifelong appreciation for music. I am dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen their musical skills, and find joy in their learning journey, whether they are learning for personal fulfillment or preparing for important performances.

Student and Tutor addressed and resolved audio connectivity issues preventing the violin sound from being heard. The session then focused on reviewing and practicing violin pieces, learning new notes on the D and A strings, understanding music symbols, and applying specific fingering techniques like 'keep fingers down.' Homework was assigned to review numbers 22 through 32, and future plans include starting the Suzuki book and practicing a piece called 'Power Rock'.
