Olive - Get to know your vocal coach
My name is Olive Bernstein, a voice coach with over 3 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. I believe that the voice is an instrument so anyone can be taught to sing with time, practice and proper technique. I come from a Classical and Musical Theater background and now sing in a rock band making my areas of expertise vast-- Pop, Rock, Jazz, Opera and more. I am currently working towards my degree in Music and Wellness at Berklee College of Music. Following my graduation in 2026, I plan to pursue further education regarding the cross-section of Music and Therapeutic Practice. I believe that music is a freeing form of self expression with many notable benefits and along with teaching things like harmony, melody, breath support and performance technique, I am to make my lessons an uplifting space where my students can express themselves freely. Let's hit those high notes and refine your unique voice together.

Singing lessons highlights
My teaching style is focused on musicality, expression, breathing techniques, building self confidence and, most importantly, learning the voice as an instrument. We are all gifted unique instruments that, by taking voice lessons, we learn how to "play" masterfully. I always start with what I believe are the two foundations of singing: connection through all the passaggios (read: vocal registers) and stability through proper breath technique. I specialize in Classical singing, Pop singing, Rock Singing, Musical Theater and Jazz but I am more than open to and capable of teaching other genres. The cool thing about singing is that the foundations remain the same no matter the genre! I utilize a variety of online tools for interactive lessons, allowing students to have recordings of our lessons to refer back to on their own time, easy access to tabs and lead sheets of the songs we work on and an arsenal of warmups to keep their voices strong and steadily improving. Having taught dozens and dozens of students over the past 3, going on 4, years of coaching, I cater to all levels and ages. I tailor each lesson to individual needs to ensure steady progress and skill development.
